The week leading up to the Blues On The Fox Festival has been designated as “Blues Week in Aurora” by The City of Aurora in conjunction with efforts on the part of The Fox Valley Music Foundation. In addition to the City and local business establishments “Painting The Town Blue”, there will be a week’s worth of formal activities celebrating the festival and blues music in particular.

The activities will kick off on Thursday, June 19 with a “Lit By The Bridge” Open Mic that takes place at Culture Stock, located in downtown Aurora, at 6:30pm. The full schedule of Blues Week events are listed below:

All week long … ACTV will be airing blues related programs and documentaries and the City and Retailers will be “painting the town blue”. A traveling Blues Art Exhibit will be featured at each event listed above and the Fox Valley Music Foundation Blues Fan will be available for purchase at all of the events including Blues On The Fox.
