Andrew Diehl & the Nightmen

The Fox Valley Music Foundation is excited to announce the opener for Blues on Water Street on “the Dock” – Andrew Diehl & the Nightmen.

Andrew Diehl & the Nightmen have made a big splash in the Chicago Blues scene with “a fresh new spin on hard-driving blues and 50’s rock n roll”.  They play a wide mix of blues styles, including Johnny “Guitar” Watson, Jimmy Rogers, Junior Wells, Fats Domino and T‑Bone Walker.  They are regulars in today’s Chicago blues scene, and we are happy to welcome them out to the Fox Valley.

Blues on Water Street in Batavia primes the pump on June 11, 2016, for the 20th Anniversary of the Blues on the Fox festival that will take place the following week at RiverEdge Park in Aurora and is part of the Fox Valley Music Foundation sponsored Blues Month.

The festivities for Blues on Water Street start at 4:00 p.m. with acoustic performances on the Kiss the Sky stage from 4:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and plugged in performances in “the Dock” from 6:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. Blues on Water Street is a unique, one of a kind mash-up of art and blues, with Water Street Studio being open all day long, featuring Chicago artists, serving up food and drink by Gammon Coach House and some surprises.  Tickets are available before the event for $15, and tickets at the door will be $20. Only 300 tickets will be guaranteed.

Get your tickets here online, at Kiss the Sky or from Batavia Main Street.

The festival is brought to you by the Fox Valley Music Foundation in conjunction with the Water Street Studio and Batavia Main Street.

Proceeds go to the Fox Valley Music Foundation.
