ANGEL OF MUSIC: A SALUTE TO ANDREW LLOYD WEBBER
Acclaimed Broadway veterans Glory Crampton and Franc D’Ambrosio celebrate the music of Andrew Lloyd Webber from his many beloved musicals.
Glory Crampton is a Broadway leading lady and musical theatre veteran who is best known for her critically acclaimed roles in productions of Phantom, My Fair Lady, Nine, Camelot, and Carousel and The Fantasticks. She is also an accomplished soprano solo artist who has sung with celebrated tenor Jose Carrerras of the legendary, The Three Tenors, in a sold out concert at Radio City Music Hall.
Crampton’s first solo CD “Unusual Way” was released in 2011 and was recorded with the London National Symphony at the famous Abbey Road Studios in England. In addition to her solo CD, she has been featured on other recordings including “All the Love I Have-Songs of Andrew Lloyd Weber” “The Musicality of Jerome Kern” “Celebrate Broadway” “Phantom” “Unsung Irving Berlin” “The Music of Peter Pan” and “Broadway Christmas.”
Franc D’Ambrosio is best known as the Phantom in Andrew Lloyd Weber’s Tony Award winning musical The Phantom of the Opera and affectionately known as the iron man of the mask having played the role in over 2300 performances and earning the distinction as the “World’s Longest Running Phantom”; a title he held for over a decade. Joining the ranks of Sara Brightman and Michael Crawford, D’Ambrosio has successfully crossed over to a solo career celebrating ten years of continuous touring.
