The Venue’s Sam Dempsey Appointed to the Board of Directors for the Aurora Regional Economic Alliance
The Fox Valley Music Foundation (FVMF) is proud to announce that Sam Dempsey, General Manager of The Venue, has been appointed to the Board of Directors for the Aurora Regional Economic Alliance (AREA).
Dempsey, who has led The Venue since 2023, brings a passion for community engagement, strategic growth, and cultural enrichment to his new role. Under his leadership, The Venue has become a cornerstone of live music and arts programming in downtown Aurora.
“Sam’s deep understanding of the creative economy and dedication to building strong community partnerships have been a tremendous benefit to FVMF and The Venue,” said Karen Fouts, FVMF Executive Director. “His background and experience, coupled with his commitment to downtown Aurora, will make him a great asset to the AREA board.”
As a board member, Dempsey will support AREA’s mission to strengthen and grow the Aurora region through thoughtful economic planning, inclusive partnerships, and community-centered initiatives.
